Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The data controller is Maurizio Caputo, who develops and publishes the Cleanlyo app ("we"). For any privacy questions you can write to us at support@cleanlyo.com.

2. Photos and videos

To find duplicates, old screenshots, bad shots and large videos, Cleanlyo asks for permission to read your phone's gallery. You can grant it for all photos or, where the system allows, only for the ones you select.

• The analysis takes place exclusively on your device, at the time of the scan.
• Photos and videos are not uploaded to any servers, ours or anyone else's, and no person looks at them.
• Cleanlyo does not keep copies of your photos. Only the list of files found is kept on your phone, to show you the results, and it is updated with each scan.
• Files are deleted only when you confirm, through the system's confirmation dialog. They go to your phone's trash, from which you can recover them for 30 days, unless you choose to empty it right away.
• Favorites and albums you protect are never suggested for deletion.

3. Data that stays on your phone

To work, Cleanlyo saves some information only on your device: your settings (for example, protected albums and after how many days a screenshot counts as "old"), the total GB freed and the monthly recaps. This data is never sent to us and is deleted if you uninstall the app.

4. Notifications and widget

If you turn them on, notifications (the monthly recap and a weekly reminder) are scheduled on the phone itself: they don't go through our servers. The widget reads free space directly from the device.

5. Subscription and payments

The subscription is purchased through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). Payment is handled entirely by them: we do not receive your name, your email or your card details. The app receives from the store only the information that the subscription is active. The processing of payment-related data is governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies.

6. No ads, no tracking

Cleanlyo contains no ads, does not use analytics or statistics tools, does not use advertising identifiers and does not share or sell data to third parties. The app also works without an internet connection.

7. If you write to us

If you contact us at the support address, we will use your email and the content of your message only to reply to you. We keep the conversation for as long as needed to handle your request and then delete it. The legal basis is your request itself.

8. This website

The cleanlyo.com website does not use cookies, does not use tracking tools and does not load resources from external services. Like any website, the server hosting it (HostGator) may log, for technical and security reasons, data such as IP address and time of visits, kept for a limited period.

9. Children

Cleanlyo does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

10. Your rights

Since we do not collect personal data through the app, we have no data of yours to access, correct or delete. For any data you may provide by writing to us, you can request access, correction or deletion at any time at support@cleanlyo.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country; in Italy, it is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with the date of the update. If a change affects the way we process data, we will also tell you in the app.
